The Hold Fast Project’s mission is to turn my cancer experience into something positive while providing a service to others through inspiration, education, and advocacy.

I live my life at full-throttle and I encourage others to find the appropriate level of risk and adventure and continue to live life fully, despite the disease.

My cancer was determined to be caused by my job as a firefighter/paramedic. I work to educate firefighters about best practices to reduce their exposure to carcinogens on the job.

Lung Cancer is a disease with a tough stigma based on its connection to smoking. I am working to help reduce that stigma and change the face of lung cancer patients, and educate others that the true risk factor for lung cancer is simply having lungs. My hope is that through raising awareness of Lung Cancer I can help to change the pace of fundraising and research.
